AuthorHi, My name is Makiya Moti and I'm from Ethiopia. I have been here for 5 years now. Some challenges i had when i came to the United States was learning English and getting used to new culture and people of different backgrounds.I knew coming to a different country and learning new things, such as language, culture, and meeting people that is so different from me in every way is difficult, but i knew i have to be strong and outgoing to get along with other people who doesn't know who i am really. Other than my past experiences, my plan is to prepare myself for college and pursue my career in nursing. The reason why i chose nursing as my future career is to help others and make a positive impact on their lives. I love helping people, especially immigrants who are new to the United States and have no idea what to do because everything is so new to them and they just need help.
